Considering this is my first self-portrait, done with acrylics no less, it's not too shabby....
...aside from the fact that I'm sporting my housecoat in the painting.
The third image is not the absolute final, but I've yet to take a picture of the finished product.
Plus, I still want to tweak it a bit---still have SO much to learn about shading.
I've a million ideas for the next batch of projects....*insert evil laugh with impish grin*

Final after mounting.
It was well-received in class.
I think I've found one of many niches.

Away we go

Back in the air and flying high.
Still have an incomplete Neuroscience degree,
and an incomplete general mathematics degree,
and now taking a 1-yr Art and Design Fundamentals program at Cambrian...
...and so far, am loving being immersed in little projects.
Some have asked why I didn't do this sooner---
to be honest, I don't think I'd have been ready to take this years ago. This was a good time for me to jump in.

When the task is handed out, I start sketching and scribbling and jotting down ideas like...that kid from the Ring, just less intense stare.
And although my final products are far from satisfactory by my standards, there pretty decent considering I've had no long-term formal training.
I'm going to try to post more work as the weeks carry on---here's to the beginnings of my portfolio.
